I thought I was going to have to completely replace an up-and-over door that I was increasingly finding too heavy to easily lift. Jamie suggested installing a motor instead, retaining the existing door, which was not only a considerable financial saving but also saved a good door being junked unnecessarily. Called Arilac at 4 pm on a Friday afternoon when our garage door literally went off the rails. Amazingly, they were with us within a few hours and the door is as good as new. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Jamie turned up when he said he would, went out of his way, as my friend, who has Parkinsons Dementia, mobility scooter was 'trapped' inside his garage, where the motor for the door had expired. Phoned Arilac around 4pm, spoke to Sue who took details of problems with 35 year old garage door. Within a few minutes a call back to say that Jamie would be able to call round about 6.30 if convenient to us - certainly was! She then phoned later to say Jamie was on his way and would arrive within 10 minutes or so - which he duly did. Inspected door and pointed out problems and suggested remedy and price, that at £120, I thought very reasonable considering. Took just over an hour. Rare these days to find such good, competent service from a very personable, knowledgeable professional (and top customer service from Sue too).
