We ordered the lamb roast dinner, veg was under cooked and lamb was cold. Haven’t been for a while, but one of my clients suggested I should give it one more try. I will not be attending again.

Absolutely amazing pub, food and service, Portions and price were on point and food quality was out of this world, easily some of the best food I've eaten in a long time, will certainly be returning.

We go here a few times a year and we went recently for our anniversary and had the loveliest time. Our waitress Sarah moved us to be sat directly in front of the open fire and was so warm and friendly, wishing us happy anniversary and just generally making our already lovely experience even nicer! Gorgeous food, great environment thoroughly recommend

I have been several times for family celebration meals and the food is always nice. The roast dinner on Sundays is exceptional when compared to other restaurants and I have always enjoyed the food. The only thing to consider is the seating, as last time I visited my family were at a table next to a fire exit door that was being used and caused a cold draft, but luckily we were able to move to another table. This is by far one of the best restaurants for food and I would highly recommend it.

We booked for a 'works' Christmas Lunch from the Festive Menu. There was a little confusion about our booking when we arrived but, other than that the whole visit was excellent. The staff were very welcoming, cheerful and helpful. The food was good and the general atmosphere within the pub was very 'festive'. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you very much to all the team at The King's Head.

I have eaten here on previous occasions so I am hoping this bad experience was a one off. Our table was booked at 7.45 we waited a hour for our starters. When it arrived all of our starters had ingredients missing and presentation was poor. When we mentioned that our starters were not as advertised on the menu we were told they were busy. We finally got our main coarse at 9.40. Mine was stone cold and had to be returned to the kitchen, my friends curry looked over cooked. The roasts that came out were hot and was probably a good choice. The manager did take money off the bill but by the time we all got our food it felt too late too eat and obviously we all felt very disgruntled at that point. It would have just been nice that at some point someone had come up to us to explain why it was taking so long and why the food we received had missing ingredients, rather than us keep having to ask what was happening. Felt sorry for our waitress who did her best in trying to ask if everything with our food was OK when it clearly wasn't. I accept the pub was busy and service may take a bit longer but to wait 2 hours to receive your main coarse which when it finally came out was cold was unacceptable.

We had a surprise birthday for a friend in the private dining room and it couldn’t have been lovelier! Leah was so helpful setting up the room and Vicky really looked after us all evening. Great food, lovely service, highly recomend. 😍 thank you for making our evening special.

The variety was good and the food we chose was great. Slightly disappointed that the pie did not gave short-crust pastry on the top, but it was still tasty. Both steaks were delicious and the desserts were tasty. Id recommend it .
